Project Description
Teen FM - a teen radio channel. Log in and share your thoughts!
Teen FM is designed as a space for young people around the ages of 14 to 16. On the site, they can book a slot on the radio channel to discusss their ideas or thoughts on a topic of their choice. It includes features such as:

Listen
Comment
A ‘Like’ button
Upload profile pictures
Live video streaming
In addition, all radio shows will be available later as podcasts, so people can listen at their own convenience and discussion on the topics can continue.
The website is simple: joining is quick and easy, just register your details and then log in - it’s all it takes to be able to access all of the features!
Project Goal
The core goal of the project is to encourage youth engagement whilst providing young people with the opportunity to use new technologies.
Project Objectives
Objective 1: Create the online environment.
Objective 2: Test the site and it's features with a trial group.
Objective 3: Refine problems discovered during objective 2.
Objective 4: Open for wider use.
Objective 5: Disseminate in schools and through workshops.
Audience
The audience addressed is teenagers around 14 to 16, from all over the world. It is for anyone who is interested in expressing their opinions on a range of different topics and is willing to take on responsibility of a project.
Materials and Resources Needed
All you need is a computer with internet, some free time and you are ready to go!
How to do it
Follow these steps:
- register and log in
- book a free slot on the weekly timetable
- prepare what you want to say on your chosen topic
- be ready to go on-line and share your thoughts for about half an hour
