ISKME's Teachers as Makers 2011 Professional Development Summer Academy is an opportunity for teachers to create, share, collaborate and be inspired by experiencing DIY Projects that they can easily adapt to their teaching.

A two day professional development teacher training opportunity for the Maker inside each of us. We will explore OER—freely remixable curriculum—and Maker-Teacher collaborations to facilitate innovation in the classroom. The Makers’ projects are points of inspiration for Teachers while they engage in design-thinking activities to create, remix, and share OER with online collaborative tools.

Maker Teacher Collaboration

• Maker Projects: Innovative makers inspire teachers with their Maker Projects. Teachers get the opportunity to experience, create, and discuss Maker Projects and reflect on how the ideas covered can be incorporated into their teaching.
