The following document is planned to be submitted for approval and signed by the school principal:
Parent Agreements
Cunha Laptop Program
These agreements are between the parents of students in Ms. Cowden's 0-period English Language Development class and Cunha Intermediate School.
We are in agreement for the following:
1. Internet Archive provided one laptop per student in Ms. Cowden's 0-period ELD class at Cunha Intermediate School.
2. Students in Ms. Cowden's 0-period class are to use the laptop provided for the 2010-11 school year.
3. Internet Archive is not planned to replace any laptop for any reason.
4. Cunha Intermediate School and the Cabrillo School District are not planned to service the laptops.
5. Parents will provide a space at home for students to safely store, charge and work on their laptops.
6. The use of the laptops at home is for the purpose of learning.
7. The laptops will be charged at night at the student's home.
8. Food and drinks will be kept separate from the laptops.
9. Student schoolwork will come first while using the laptops.
10. Parents will supervise while their child is on the Internet.
11. Parents will enforce their family rules for using computers in their home. Ms. Cowden will reinforce those family rules.
12. Students will follow all Cunha school rules found in the Cub Agenda while using the laptops.
13. Students will transport their laptops inconspicuously, like carrying the laptop inside their backpack.
14. Students will store their laptop in Ms. Cowden's classroom after 0-period each school day. Students will pick up their laptop after school each day.
15. Parents will periodically provide feedback to Ms. Cowden that will be posted on the Wiki page (wiki.oercommons.org) and with other Parent Meetings.
16. Photos and videos of students and their work will be shared.
