Life as a Teacher at Synapse Institute
Written by my 5 year old student after the second day of school at Synapse.
Teachers are always the leaders of the curriculum. Sometimes lessons are stimulated by parents. Sometimes lessons are stimulated by students. Together we author the curriculum and together we create a community that loves to learn.

Here is a link to the Synapse Institute homepage where there is an excellent video by Tony Carlson of a sample lesson on understanding the fundamental elements of how a battery works and its relationship to electricity. The lesson content was a collaboration between Peter Barrett, one of our parents and myself. Peter's son wrote the message in the picture above that led me to ask Peter if he would like to teach about the battery.
