NEW: Subject-Based OER Project Exploration!!

If you are looking for ARTS-RELATED educational tools, view the OER and Arts Education wiki page.

If you are looking for SCIENCE-RELATED educational tools, view the OER & Science Education wiki page.

Otherwise, all OER Projects & Workshops are listed in chronological order at the Projects page.

What are OER?

Open Education Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials freely available online for everyone to use, whether you are an instructor, student, or self-learner. Examples of OER include: full courses, course modules, syllabi, lectures, homework assignments, quizzes, lab and classroom activities, pedagogical materials, games, simulations, and many more resources contained in digital media collections from around the world.

Getting Started

1. Create an account. If you have an OER Commons account, you must still create an account for the wiki separately, but we suggest using the same login information for the wiki as for OER Commons.

2. Explore our Tutorial modules: How to Use OER Commons.

3. Help build a rich network of OER resources! Join or add projects. Browse, create or localize Open Educational Resources (OER) published in the project section of the OER Commons Wiki.
